I love all things related to design and thrive on visual overload.
Living in a rural town in southern California, about an hour outside of San Diego, offers year-round sunshine and lots of outdoor activities. Yet I can't help dreaming of living in Manhattan, if only for a short time, just to experience it on a daily basis. It is such a great place to soak up inspiration. However, it would be too hard to leave my two little grand-daughters, so I will most likely just keep going there as often as I can. My husband flies for a major airline, so I take advantage of my pass privileges as often as possible. My favorite destination: New York City, of course.
My town, Fallbrook, is famous for avocados, but lately I've been seeing a lot more vineyards springing up throughout the hills. It is a beautiful place to live, even if NYC is in my dreams.

My wheels are always turning . . . anything and everything can be a source of inspiration. Most people watch a movie and focus on dialog. I aim for double duty. While listening, I focus on looking all around the room to see what is going on in the background. I get so many ideas by checking out everything in a room, on the street, or whatever the scene may show.
This year (2012) marks the 20th anniversary of my design business. During this time I had the pleasure of having a long working relationship with HGTV’s Decorating Cents. I worked on air and behind the scenes for their "interior redesign" segments. It was a joy to travel and see many design styles from coast to coast. In 2003 I opened a retail shop featuring interior furnishings, clothing, and gifts. At Home on Main Street was a hit with customers, but we decided to close in 2009 when the economy took a down turn.
Training others in the concepts of interior redesign was a major part of my career. As one of the first in the field to teach these concepts, I authored several training manuals and workbooks that covered the entire spectrum of the redesign business. As a founder of a professional design group, I planned and hosted workshops and conferences yearly in many cities.
In addition to design work I also offer:
